Manuel Antonio/San Jose – Day 6 of a 6-Day Trip in Costa Rica
Day 6 consisted of a morning in Manuel Antonio, a stop at Jaco Beach, and return to San Jose. You can take an Interbus from Manuel Antonio to San Jose, but this day can only be followed (exactly) if you have your own car.
Day 6
Manuel Antonio/San Jose

I started my day with breakfast at Soda El Angel. Gallo pinto, toast, and scrambled eggs and ham with a Fresca to drink.
I then walked around the town area and stopped for a smoothie at El Patio de Cafe Milagro. It is also a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

If there is time, you can always lounge at the Playa Espadilla Norte (the beach!). Alternatively, you can head to Jaco (about an hour and half drive from Manuel Antonio) to visit their beach. Jaco is a popular beach town which is an easy day trip from San Jose (about a 2 hour drive). At this point of my trip, I was meeting up with my friends again. The Jaco beach wasn’t too busy and we found a spot on the sand to spend the afternoon.

Afterwards, we headed to Green Room for an early dinner. I ordered the 3 x fish tacos plate. The tacos were humongous and tasty.
We then headed back to San Jose for the night. On the way, we stopped at the Crocodile Bridge near Tarcoles. The bridge overlooks a river that is filled to crocodiles! Make sure you hold your phone tight, because you won’t be getting it back if you drop it in the river!
